Hi, my name is Matthew Westrich. I have been a doctor of Chiropractic for 6 years now and I can’t think of anything I would rather do. From the time anyone ever asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I always said I want to be a Chiropractor. Today I get to live my dream and help thousands of people regain their health and life through a hands on, drug-less and surgery free health profession.
Life was not always easy for me. I grew up with a learning disability from kindergarten till 9th grade and I struggled in English, math and science. I worked hard and managed a “B” average in high school and through college. In high school I also wrestled and played football and on the weekends I managed a small lawn business.
I graduated from Miami Palmetto Senior High in 1997 and then went to Miami Dade Community College for my Associate degree. I graduated from Florida State University with a bachelors in biology and a minor in Chemistry in 2002 and then went on to Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas Texas where I became a doctor of Chiropractic in 2005.
Before graduating I worked abroad in Mexico City to help out a new school for eleven weeks. It was a great learning experience and a lot of fun. Since graduating I have worked in two locations. One location was in Coral Gables for about eight months and now I have been her at Perrine Chiropractic Clinic for over 5 years. Over the years I have been able to help thousands of people in my home town of Palmetto Bay and they have helped me fulfill my dreams. In March of 2010 I got married to my wife Julie and we just had our first baby Isaac on Labor Day 2011. I am so blessed.
